“ Found on the top floor of Suria KLCC Mall, Din Tai Fung stands out eloquently among the neighboring restaurants. It welcomes you with a bustling, authentic Taiwanese ambiance. From the moment you step inside, you're met with the warm aroma of traditional dishes and the gentle hum of conversation in the air. We were promptly greeted by a server at the entrance and shown to our table. Ordering was refreshingly straightforward, a simple form is provided alongside the menu, allowing you to mark your chosen dishes, quantities, and preferred spice level. To start, I ordered the spicy cucumber, a plate that set the tone beautifully for the meals ahead. The cool and crunchiness of the cucumber balanced with the mild/tingling kick from the chili oil. Flavorful - without being heavy. A perfect starter to chose. For the next meal, I went with the Shrimp & Chicken Dumplings and the Crab Roe & Chicken Xiao Long Bao, served with a side of julienned ginger. Both dumplings were excellent - each bite packed with deep, rich flavor from the rip. When dipped in a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil, the flavors intensified and created a harmony that truly stood out. From both sets of food there's a beautiful clash of deep rich flavours that compliment each other very well. Our main dish was the Shrimp Egg Fried Rice, and it did not disappoint. The rice was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The shrimp were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, while the egg was lightly scrambled and evenly distributed throughout. All of these components amalgamate into creating a cohesive and satisfying main dish. What stood out most, however, was the service. Due to what seemed to be a minor kitchen delay, one of my dishes didn’t arrive on time (something completely understandable in a busy restaurant.) The waiter, without hesitation, apologised profusely and offered a complimentary serving of the spicy cucumber. It was a thoughtful gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. That level of attentiveness elevated the entire experience and matched the quality of both the food and the atmosphere. ”
“ Great location with great staff and great food. It was first time of us visiting KL Petronas and Din Tai Fung KLCC gave us very pleasant feelings. No pork and no lard is well communicated. Their shrimp is perfectly fresh, making dumplings very very tasty ans consistently quality across varieties of dishes from shrimp. Their noodles are also nicely made, good texture of noodles covered by good sauce, all offers a great taste overall. Staff are nice. They all wear suitable cloth with covering; all offers a good impression & feeling of hygienic perception. Spacy place hence kid friendly as well. Highly recommended ”
“ Overall a good experience with friendly service. The food was a little on the salty side, but still enjoyable. The outlet was spacious with comfortable booth seating, which made dining pleasant. One order of wanton soup was delayed and arrived much later than the rest of the dishes, but aside from that, everything was alright. ”
“ This restaurant has several branches in Tokyo, but it also feels familiar here in Malaysia, as I often see it in shopping malls in both Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Their xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) are consistently juicy and delicious. The wrappers are not too thick, which makes them easy to enjoy. The shrimp wonton soup is also excellent — delicately seasoned and full of flavor. However, the noodle dishes tend to be quite bland. I had to get creative with the condiments provided on the table, such as spicy shrimp oil, soy sauce, and vinegar, to enhance the flavor. The restaurant is spacious and impeccably clean. Service is decent and matches the price range. ”
“ I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Asian dumplings. They were absolutely delicious and of very high quality. While the prices are on the higher side, the food is worth it. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is a good spot for a meal. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend it! ”
“ The stunning kitchen is shown at the front to capture customers. If that was what it was for, then it worked. As soon as we were walking in the mall, we saw the restaurant, we immediately wanted to walk right in, to the smell, and look. I 100 % will recommend the chicken xiao long bao, too bad they only had chicken. As a reminder, this place at Malaysia????????has mostly Muslims, so you may not find pork in your food. The food came faster than I would have expected. Love the vibes and the smell and the taste. Give them a 10/10 for taste, smell, and vibes. ”
“ Awesome!!! A visit to Din is always a good time. Service good as per usual. Wantons and dumplings tasted great and fresh, not too heavy. The garlic kalian and spicy egg fried rice was also kick ass. Super satisfying dinner. No pork no lard! ”
“ Visited the KLCC outlet for dinner on 23rd June 2025 for the first time. Not only did we enjoy the scrumptious food, their service was fantastic! They have very friendly and welcoming staff. special thanks to Ms. Shyuada for making our dine-in such a wonderful experience from the start to the end. ”
“ I also ate Ding Tai Fung when traveling to Shanghai or Taiwan. 小籠包 is always delicious! Here I fell in love with the 小籠包. I love Ding Tai Fung! location: KLCC ”
“ My family and love Din Tai Fung. So far we have eaten at DTF in Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. When we are in Kuala Lumpur our go to DTF is in the Pavilion Mall. When we found out about Din by DTF we wanted to try this place out of curiosity. Din by DTF is the first non pork DTF; their Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are made from chicken, and lamb (and of course all halal). As any DTF the interior is clean and simple, and of course one can look at the large glass windows to see the soup dumplings being made. We ordered chicken dumplings, sambal chicken dumplings, and some vegetables. I did enjoy the chicken dumplings, but I don't think I quite liked the sambal dumplings. Maybe it's just me, but the flavour was a bit sweet and didn't go well as soup dumplings. It was not bad at all, but was not my favourite flavour. Other than that I really enjoyed other dishes. The service was a little less attentive than the other DTF, but nothing bad. I probably will not go back here because I can easily go to other DTF, but I applaud the non pork option! ”
